MACAO — Delegates attending the 13th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Tourism Ministerial Meeting visited the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Historic Centre of Macao, immersing themselves in the city’s historic heritage.

They toured the iconic Ruins of St. Paul’s, a 400-year-old stone façade that has become synonymous with Macao. Standing as a testament to the city’s distinctive blend of Eastern and Western cultures, the façade incorporates Chinese characters and lion motifs alongside Western architectural elements.

The delegates also visited the Macao Museum, located on Mount Fortress, a renowned historical site in Macao. The museum was built by the Jesuits in the early 17th century.

China Daily photographer Edmond Tang took the photos.
