TOKYO – Japanese police on Tuesday re-arrested an officer of the Self-Defense Forces (SDF), who had previously forced his way into the Chinese Embassy in Japan, on suspicion of violating the country's firearms and swords control law, according to Kyodo News.
Kodai Murata, the 23-year-old second lieutenant of the Ground Self-Defense Force, scaled a barbed-wire wall and broke into the Chinese Embassy in Japan with an 18-centimeter blade on March 24, vowing to kill Chinese diplomatic personnel "in the name of god."
