Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy ships Qi Jiguang and Yimengshan entered Hong Kong waters on Tuesday morning.
Escorted by vessels from the PLA Hong Kong Garrison and the SAR government, Qi Jiguang and Yimengshan sailed towards the PLA Hong Kong Garrison's naval base in Stonecutters Island, where they will be docked and open to the public on Wednesday (the National Day) and Thursday, offering the opportunity to take an up-close look at China’s growing naval prowess. About 11,000 tickets have been distributed free of charge starting on Saturday.
