Strolling along the bustling Hollywood Road in Hong Kong's Central business district, you stand a chance to discover some tiny surprises around the corners.

The Central and Western District Office has installed a dozen adorable cat statues at various spots along the street, which boasts a unique vibe for its blend of trendy shops and traditional stores. Many of these shops are known for their animal "employees" — predominantly cats — who serve as mascots.

The historic street, one of Hong Kong’s oldest paved roads, has been dubbed the "world's second coolest street" by some media outlets.

China Daily's Andy Chong took the photos on Wednesday.
