The 2026 Guangzhou Mid-Autumn and National Day Cultural and Tourism Series, themed "Golden Week, Happy in Guangzhou", officially commenced on Tuesday.

The event unveiled 20 premium travel routes that span all 11 administrative districts of the city, offering people a chance to immerse themselves in Lingnan culture – a unique regional culture of the southern Chinese region, which primarily spans Guangdong, Guangxi, Hong Kong, and Macao.

Highlights of the ceremony included the introduction of the popular local character "Greater Bay Chicken" with its new series, "Bloom of Wonder", along with a local fashion show.
