Students at Pui Kiu Middle School attended a class hosted by Shenzhou XXIII crew members, including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s first homegrown astronaut, Lai Ka-ying, from the nation's Tiangong Space Station on Wednesday.

The educational event was co-organized by the Hong Kong and Macao SAR governments and the China Manned Space Agency, connecting young people from Hong Kong and Macao, who gathered in different schools, with the astronauts onboard the space station in real-time.

Students participated in science lectures, live orbital demonstrations, and a chance to pose questions directly to the astronauts: commander Zhu Yangzhu, pilot Zhang Zhiyuan, and Lai, the mission’s payload specialist.
