Nearly two weeks after the Shenzhou XXIII manned mission launched into orbit, Hong Kong's first astronaut, Lai Ka-ying, and her two colleagues are doing well adapting to life on board the Tiangong space station, according to footage released by the China Manned Space Agency.

The video released through Tiangong TV showed their activies inside the Chinese space station, with Lai maintaining her signature bright smile.

Two weeks ago, the Tiangong space station witnessed its eighth "space reunion." The six astronauts from the Shenzhou XXIII and Shenzhou XXI crews worked side-by-side to conduct science experiments and complete the in-orbit handover.

On May 29, when the Shenzhou XXI crew returned to Earth, their Shenzhou XXIII colleagues bid them farewell and watched the live broadcast of their return mission.

The latest footage shows that the Shenzhou XXIII crew have adapted to the microgravity environment inside the space station and are working without any hassle.

As the payload expert, Lai will be extremely busy, but the footage showed her keeping her bright smile and upbeat attitude.

While taking the "space family photo," she and her teammates floated in the air, experiencing the joy of weightlessness. Afterwards, she changed into light blue and pink work clothes and completed various tasks in the space station.

Tiangong TV also released footage of the Shenzhou XXIII crew chatting and having a meal together, showing a harmonious and friendly atmosphere.

According to their work plan, the Shenzhou XXIII crew will launch over a hundred new scientific and applied projects during their time in the space station, focusing on in-depth research and verification of cutting-edge scientific and technological issues in fields such as space life sciences, space materials science, microgravity fluid physics, aerospace medicine, and new aerospace technologies.
