Hong Kong braced for a spell of unsettled weather on Monday as a trough of low pressure was expected to bring heavy showers to the region until Tuesday. 

Residents were advised to prepare for occasional showers and squally thunderstorms, with heavy rainfall at times. These conditions are anticipated to persist through Monday night to tomorrow morning.
