
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region recorded over 3.79 million cross-boundary trips during the first three days of the Labor Day holiday, according to data from the Immigration Department of the HKSAR government.
Hong Kong's land, sea, and air checkpoints logged a total of 3,795,461 inbound and outbound passenger trips from May 1 to May 3. The Labor Day Golden Week holiday in the Chinese mainland ends on Tuesday.
The territory recorded 1,302,596 trips on Friday, 1,299,333 on Saturday and 1,193,532 yesterday, ImmD data showed.

Arrivals from the mainland also reached a total of 714,765 as of Sunday. The ImmD earlier said that it expected 980,000 mainland visitors during the five-day holiday period.

Lo Wu was the busiest boundary control point during the first-three days of the holiday, with a high of 274,462 trips on Saturday, while Lok Ma Chau Spur Line was the second busiest, logging a peak of 268,386 trips, also on Saturday.
The ImmD earlier said that it expected to handle around 6 million passenger trips during the Labor Day Golden Week holiday.
