Eight disciplined services and auxiliary services under the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region’s Security Bureau will organize open days on different weekends from late this month to mid-April to deepen the public’s understanding of the services, as well as their work and achievements in safeguarding national security, along with various activities.
The events will mark National Security Education Day on April 15, and will be held at the disciplined services’ headquarters, training schools, divisional premises, a local museum and relevant venues.
Residents can register for free admission tickets through the relevant services’ websites from Tuesday, and successful applicants will be notified by the organizers. Admission tickets are not required for the open days of the Hong Kong Police Force, the Civil Aid Service and the Auxiliary Medical Service.
Various activities will be arranged to help the public learn more about the services’ work in preventing and thwarting national security threats, and raise public awareness of national security, as well as creating a favorable atmosphere for safeguarding national security and law-abidingness.
