Shenzhen Bus Group has launched an inter-city route to Dongguan for cycling enthusiasts, shuttling them between public transit hubs in Shenzhen and Dongguan’s Tongsha Lake.
The route operates on weekends, connecting Shenzhen’s Songpingshan Bus Terminal (松坪山总站) to the west gate of Tongsha Lake Urban Park (同沙湖城市公园) in Dongguan, with key stops including Hi-Tech Park (高新园) metro station and Bao’an Central Hospital (宝安中心医院).

Dongguan’s Tongsha Lake, known as the city’s "urban green lung," attracts cyclists with its 15-kilometer lakeside trail, which offers breathtaking views of mountains and waterways. Previously, reaching the park required lengthy drives, multiple public transit transfers, or lugging bicycles through crowded stations.

The bus departs at 8 am from Shenzhen’s Songpingshan Bus Terminal and 3 pm from Dongguan’s Tongsha Lake Urban Park.
The fare is set at 100 yuan per adult, and tickets must be booked through the Shenzhen Bus Go (深巴出行) WeChat mini-program.

This initiative aligns with broader plans to promote active lifestyles and meet the demand for leisure activities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Shenzhen Bus Group has previously pioneered cycling-friendly services to accommodate the needs of aficionados.
