
HONG KONG – The minimum temperatures in Hong Kong’s urban areas will be around 14 degrees Celsius on Sunday morning, and it will be cold over parts of the New Territories, according to the city’s weather forecaster.
Cautioning that a cold front over inland Guangdong is moving southwards gradually, the Hong Kong Observatory said it is expected to move across the coastal areas later on Saturday afternoon.
“Local winds will strengthen from the north. There will be one or two rain patches. Temperatures will fall appreciably,” the observatory said in a 12 noon bulletin.

Temperatures will fall appreciably to about 16 degrees Celsius at Saturday midnight before dropping to 14 degrees Celsius on Sunday morning, it added.
Warning that it will still be cool on Monday morning, the forecaster advised residents to keep warm and take care of the elderly and persons with chronic medical conditions.
With the monsoon moderating midweek next week, temperatures will rise gradually, it added.
