The second annual BoConcept Home Design Awards 2020 encouraged Hong Kong creative minds to submit their ideas for a 650-square foot haven at home. Under the apropos theme of Home Sanctuary, professional and amateur interior designers were invited to address the need for calm and tranquil spaces to combat the past months of continuous disruptions.

Curated by former Perspective magazine editor-in-chief Dennis Lee with the help of an international roster of judges including New Yorkers Clarissa Richardson and Heidar Sadeki along with Hong Kong’s James Law, the awards build upon the Danish furniture brand’s ethos of Scandinavian style and simplicity.

Joanne Chow, founder of A Matter of Design and distributor for BoConcept in Hong Kong, is a mother to four young children. She understands firsthand the importance of a restful home and the need to nurture home grown designers. “We want to make sure we continue to support our talent even in uncertain times and give something back to the community,” Chow states.

The results will be announced in late August 2020 at an awards ceremony to honor the winning schemes. For more information, please visit: boconcept.com/en-hk/
