HONG KONG ― An exhibition titled Luminous Brilliance: The Artistry of Zibo Liuli is running at the Poly MGM Museum in Macao Special Administrative Region from October 2026 to March 2027.

Featuring nearly 180 exquisite historic and contemporary works, the exhibition traces 3,000 years of liuli, the traditional Chinese art of glassmaking, across three thematic chapters.

Immersive light-and-shadow installations reveal liuli's luminous clarity and vibrant colors, inviting visitors into a visual experience that highlights its profound heritage, contemporary innovation, and significance within China's intangible cultural heritage.

The Poly MGM Museum presents the exhibition in collaboration with the National Museum of China and the Zibo Ceramic and Glass Museum.

Zibo, in East China's Shandong province, is renowned as the historic heart of Chinese glassmaking, with a rich tradition shaped by centuries of cultural exchange along the ancient Silk Road.

China Daily's Adam Lam took the photos on Thursday.
