A Chinese defense spokesman on Thursday denied claims that China supplied defense systems and drones to Iran during wartime.
Zhang Xiaogang, spokesman for China's Ministry of National Defense, made the remarks at a news conference in Beijing in response to a question about whether China had provided specific military equipment to Iran.
"We have responded to such questions many times, and we oppose the spread of false information," Zhang said.
He also addressed a question on whether China has provided military equipment to Iraq.

Zhang said the Chinese and Iraqi militaries maintain friendly relations, with ongoing exchanges and cooperation.
"China always follows the three principles governing military exports when cooperating with friendly countries, and plays a constructive role in regional and global peace and stability," he said.
