The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region welcomes enterprises from Luxembourg to leverage the city’s advantages for mutual benefits and seeks further bilateral cooperation, Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu said on Friday.
He made the statement while meeting Xavier Bettel, the visiting Luxembourgish deputy prime minister and minister for foreign affairs and foreign trade, according to a government statement.
Lee said Hong Kong is an ideal place for companies to expand global operations, as it boasts a “highly internationalized and market-oriented business environment with talent proficient in multiple languages”.

Enterprises from Luxembourg are welcome to leverage the city's platform as an international financial and trade center to explore foreign and Chinese mainland markets, he said.
The Hong Kong leader also highlighted a series of the HKSAR government measures for facilitating enterprises to set up headquarters or corporate divisions in the city, as well as achievements of various talent schemes.

Lee said he looks forward to strengthening cooperation with Luxembourg in the future, with the HKSAR government continuing to promote trade, investment, arts and cultural exchanges with Luxembourg through the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels.
Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Algernon Yau Ying-wah also attended the meeting.
