The 2024 Guangzhou Science and Technology Activity Week will take place from May 25 to June 1.

There will be more than 400 activities, including exhibitions, talk shows, a tech-infused fashion show, a science popularization carnival, and education lectures.

About 100 organizations with scientific resources, such as science bases, laboratories, universities, scientific research institutions and high-tech firms in the city, will open to the public on May 25.

Cantonese AI chatbot

SenseChat, a chatbot powered by SenseNova 5.0, will have its Cantonese version rolled out on May 29 at SenseTime Group’s 10th anniversary of establishment.

Founded in Hong Kong in 2014, the AI company said the Cantonese version of SenseChat is customized for local residents and businesses so that they can enjoy generative AI models more conveniently. In April, SenseTime unveiled the fifth generation of the generative AI model SenseNova, which debuted last year.

Shenzhen cultural fair

The ongoing 2024 China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair will end on Monday.

The main offline venue is Shenzhen World Convention and Exhibition Center, with a displaying area of 160,000 square meters and eight major exhibition halls featuring culture, tourism, film and television, innovation, and other topics.

Among the exhibitors, China Literature Limited has brought rich exhibits related to hot TV drama "Joy of Life Season 2” including its original novel and collection cards.

Chang Hongji, the actor who plays martial arts master Ip Man in an original dance drama "Wing Chun", will also improvise the drama’s highlights at the fair.
