
HONG KONG — Crowds of tourists flooded the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's most popular shopping and sightseeing districts on Monday, as the National Day "Golden Week" holiday entered its peak travel period.
Visitors thronged the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay, two of the city’s busiest commercial and tourism hubs, queuing outside stores and popular restaurants. The surge in foot traffic visibly boosted Hong Kong’s retail and tourism sectors.

The city saw 1.06 million visitor arrivals during the first four days of the "Golden Week", according to the Immigration Department of the HKSAR government.
