More than 300 young people from Hong Kong and Macao attended a youth military camp on Sunday in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province.

Participants from the two special administrative regions immersed themselves in military-camp life, with military training and demonstrations, and up-close access to advanced weaponry and equipment. The event aimed to deepen their understanding of national defense knowledge, military culture, and the country's development achievements. The camp has run for three years straight.

To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army's Long March, the camp integrated elements of the historical military campaign.

Wong Ming-chi, another Hong Kong college student, described Chinese armed police officers as approachable and acknowledged their contributions to safeguarding the peace and prosperity of the country.

Kayley Sam Ka-hei, a student from Macao, was charmed by the concert. "The event allowed us to get a glimpse of the fine demeanor of the Chinese armed police officers," she said.
