US Open: China's Zheng into Grand Slam third round first time since 2025

NEW YORK - China's Zheng Qinwen beat Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 at the US Open on Thursday, reaching the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time since the 2025 French Open.

Zheng will next face 22nd-seeded American Madison Keys.
