The Greater Bay Area Youth Innovation & Entrepreneurship Foundation (GBA Youth Inno Foundation) and the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) concluded the “Harmonious Horse Shining On The Bund” special exhibition and gala dinner at Bund 3 in Shanghai on Aug 29, attended by cross-sector leaders to explore new models of Shanghai-Hong Kong cooperation.

The event brought together representatives of GBA Youth Inno Foundation and the HKJC, along with invited guests from the technological innovation, public welfare, investment and cultural industries. Focused on industry trend analysis, practical experience sharing and cross-border resource matching, it sought to identify actionable, sustainable pathways for cross-industry integration and bilateral collaboration.

In his opening address, Lin Zhi, founding president of GBA Youth Inno Foundation, said the event marks the second flagship edition of the “Chuang · Yi · Yun” Sci-Tech Innovation • Charity • Equine Sport) co-branded series jointly launched by the two organizations. “Rooted in the core philosophy of empowering through innovation, advancing public welfare and seizing opportunities of the times, the series is designed to build a professional, regular and high-quality two-way exchange platform between Shanghai and Hong Kong,” Lin said.

He added that GBA Youth Inno Foundation will continue working with the HKJC to integrate premium resources from both cities and deepen cross-regional synergy between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Yangtze River Delta.

Tang Chi, head of Mainland Marketing and Members Strategy, delivered a keynote speech outlining the club’s  overall Chinese mainland development strategy, core business segments and key priorities. He shared the HKJC’s established practices in equestrian culture promotion, premium membership services, charitable initiatives and innovative business incubation. The event also featured showcases of HKJC’s development philosophy, landmark projects and public welfare achievements, offering attendees a comprehensive view of the club’s mainland footprint and the cultural and social value of equestrian heritage.

The two sides officially launched their long-term cooperation framework for the “Chuang · Yi · Yun” series at the event. Under the plan, both parties will take the branded event series as the core carrier to deepen collaboration in Shanghai-Hong Kong connectivity, tech innovation empowerment, public welfare delivery and youth development, building a stable, diversified long-term cooperation system. They also previewed the third installment of the series, a medical-themed salon scheduled for November this year.

The day’s agenda included a guided themed exhibition tour, an exclusive gala dinner and open networking sessions, fostering efficient, practical exchanges in a relaxed atmosphere. More than 40 participants held in-depth discussions on core topics, including tech project commercialization, cross-industry integration, innovative public welfare models and youth talent cultivation, laying the groundwork for future cooperation.

As two of China’s core economic growth poles, the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area boast highly complementary strengths and broad space for synergistic development.

Looking forward, GBA Youth Inno Foundation and HKJC said they will continue to deepen cross-regional collaboration, advance resource sharing, talent exchange and mutual learning, and upgrade the “Chuang · Yi · Yun” series on an ongoing basis. The event marks a new starting point for deepened, long-term Shanghai-Hong Kong exchanges, and will inject sustained momentum into youth growth and high-quality regional development across both cities.
