A citywide smart cycling campaign — “Ride To Shine Hong Kong” — kicked off on Tuesday to promote healthy living and welcome the 30th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland.

Hong Kong Shine Tak Foundation has partnered with Sun Life Hong Kong to launch the campaign to achieve a cumulative mileage of 1.2 million kilometers, which is equivalent to cycling around the Earth exactly 30 times, or 40,075 km per lap.
