The highly-anticipated visit by two of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army naval vessels has arrived, as they entered Hong Kong's icnoic Victoria Harbour on Friday morning to celebrate the 29th anniversary of the establishment of the special administrative region with the city's residents.

During their visit from Thursday to Monday, CNS Nanning (pennant number 162) and CNS Hengyang (pennant number 568) will berth at the Hong Kong Garrison’s Stonecutters Island Naval Base. Residents who have made online bookings via the Hong Kong Garrison’s official WeChat public account can join guided tours of the vessels along designated routes.

The event aimed to offer residents a closer view of the nation’s military might and the PLA's latest developments.
