
A series of cultural and tourism promotion activities was officially launched in Hong Kong on Tuesday, as Hainan province intensified its efforts to attract visitors and strengthen bilateral ties with the city.
The campaign features an innovative, three-pronged promotional model that combines a dedicated business briefing session, immersive cultural performances, and interactive street tours.
The initiative is designed to leverage Hong Kong's strategic position as a global tourism gateway, showcasing the rich cultural and natural attractions of Hainan province while highlighting the Hainan Free Trade Port’s development opportunities.
By highlighting the longstanding cultural and tourism cooperation between Hainan province and Hong Kong, the campaign aims to inject fresh momentum into the province's tourism market.
Chen Tiejun, director of Hainan Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Film, Television, Publications and Sports, emphasized the mutual benefits of closer collaboration between Hong Kong and Hainan province, and expressed optimism about the new opportunities made available by the Hainan Free Trade Port.
He extended to Hong Kong residents a warm invitation to visit Hainan province, and encouraged them to explore investment, business, and travel options there.
Cheuk Wing-hing, deputy chief secretary for administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, reaffirmed Hong Kong's readiness to serve as a gateway connecting Hainan province to the world, while also welcoming more travelers from Hainan to experience Hong Kong's unique cultural and tourism offerings.
