The World Internet Conference (WIC) Asia-Pacific Summit kicked off at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday, bringing together policy makers, business leaders and technology experts to discuss emerging trends in the digital economy and deepen regional cooperation.
The two-day event, themed Digital and Intelligent Empowerment for Innovative Development — Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace, features six panel discussions covering topics such as the innovation and applications of artificial intelligence agents, digital finance, and AI governance, in addition to a main forum.
The summit is also expected to release a series of outcome reports focused on three themes — AI for better life, digital finance, and AI governance — highlighting recent advances on how AI can support social and economic development.
