
About 0.79 million cross-border trips were recorded as of 4pm on the first day of the Easter and Qingming holidays, the Hong Kong Immigration Department revealed on Friday.
Departures reached about 617,000, of which about 570,000 were made by Hong Kong residents. Arrivals totaled about 173,000, authorities said.

On Tuesday, the Immigration Department said the SAR expects to see over 6.44 million inbound and outbound passenger trips during the holidays from April 3 to 7.
