Russia shoots down 283 Ukrainian drones

MOSCOW - Russia's air defenses intercepted and destroyed 283 Ukrainian drones overnight, the country's Defense Ministry said on Saturday.

The ministry said that Russia's "on-duty air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 283 Ukrainian drones" beginning at 23:00 Moscow time (2000 GMT) on March 20 to 07:00 Moscow time (0400 GMT) the next day.

It said the drones were shot down over the Bryansk, Smolensk, Kaluga, Crimea, Tatarstan, and Moscow regions, among several others.
