Chinese shares open lower Thursday

BEIJING - Chinese stocks opened lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.85 percent to open at 4,028.54 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 1.3 percent lower at 14,003.7 points.
