HKSAR govt principal officials share Chinese New Year blessings

Principal officials of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government on Saturday visited different households in Central & Western, Sha Tin, Eastern, Kowloon City and Sham Shui Po to learn about their living condition and share the festive joy in celebrating the Chinese New Year.

Accompanied by district officers, district council members and representatives from the District Services & Community Care Team, the officials presented the different families with Chinese New Year blessing bags and wished them every success in the Year of the Horse.

Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po shared the festive joy with a young family and an elderly family in Kennedy Town, Central & Western district. He shared with them the blessing bags and extended holiday greetings.

Deputy Chief Secretary Cheuk Wing-hing visited grassroots families and an elderly singleton living in Mei Lam Estate, Sha Tin, while Deputy Financial Secretary Michael Wong Wai-lun met a young family and an elderly singleton living in Yiu Tung Estate, Eastern.

In Tak Long Estate, Kowloon City, Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury Christopher Hui Ching-yu called on a young family and elderly doubletons, while Secretary for Education Christine Choi Yuk-lin visited an elderly family and an ethnic minority family in Sham Shui Po.

The principal officials will continue to visit different families on Sunday and Monday to extend care and wishes, and celebrate the festive season with the public.
