HONG KONG - Hong Kong is set to be gripped by Chiikawa fever, as a highly anticipated “CHIIKAWA DAYS” exhibition officially opened in Tsim Sha Tsui on Friday.

Running through Aug 31, the event brings together a wide array of classic Chiikawa scenes centered around four themes - clothing, food, shelter and action - together with an outdoor area featuring multiple giant inflatable characters to allow visitors to step into the adventures of Chiikawa and friends.

A special corner has been dedicated to an exclusive "YUM CHA" art, depicting Chiikawa and friends as adorable versions of classic local dim sum dishes.

Earlier in July, Chiikawa-themed trains were launched to operate on the light rail in the northwestern New Territories as part of the “CHIIKAWA DAYS” exhibition.
