HONG KONG - A fleet of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy, led by the CNS Shandong — the nation’s first domestically built aircraft carrier — arrived in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Thursday morning.

The fleet, which also includes the missile destroyers Yan’an and Zhanjiang, as well as the missile frigate Yuncheng, will perform a series of open tours and cultural exchange activities during its visit to the SAR from July 3 to 7. 

The visit is part of the celebrations marking the 28th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the motherland.
