Zhou's narrative at the salon traced the transformative journey of Hunan TV from its early days to becoming the first media company listed on China's A-share market. He highlighted the strategic moves and capital operations that propelled the company during pivotal moments, such as its initial public offering (IPO) in 1999 which raised ¥459 million, and a secondary offering in 2000 that significantly boosted the company’s growth with an additional ¥1.59 billion.
