Pakistan expels Indian diplomat for 'misconduct'

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan on Thursday expelled a staff member of the Indian high commission in Islamabad, declaring the official persona non grata and directing him to leave the country within 24 hours.

The Indian Charge d'Affaires was summoned to Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs to convey the decision.

The move came hours after India expelled a Pakistani diplomat, its second such expulsion in just over a week.
