HONG KONG - The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has activated official countdown clocks for the 15th National Games and the accompanying Paralympic Games, at Tamar Park in the city. 

The digital installation has been set up along the Victoria Harbour waterfront opposite the Central Government Offices. Calibrated to synchronize with the Games’ opening on Nov 9 this year, it serves as an institutional marker of Hong Kong’s role as a co-host of the sporting events.

Established in 1959, the National Games are the country’s premier multi-sport event, uniting athletes from all administrative regions. The 2025 Games, running until Nov 21, will be co-hosted by Guangdong province and the Hong Kong and Macao SARs.
