HONG KONG - An intense fire that raged for over 20 hours at a warehouse on Ha Tsuen Road in Tin Shui Wai residential district of Hong Kong has been largely extinguished. The Fire Services Department announced that the blaze was mostly extinguished by 10 am on Wednesday.
Originating at 12:40 pm on Tuesday, the fire soon escalated to a No. 3 alarm fire by 1:33 pm. Firefighters initially contained the fire at 6:12 am on Wednesday, but firefighting efforts persisted to fully extinguish the flames.
Two people were sent to the hospital for treatment.
The Fire Services Department’s investigation team has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
