Desire to fly

An art exhibition titled Desire to Fly is now open at AIRSIDE Mall in Kai Tak, Hong Kong, guiding visitors through the story of Kai Tak Airport, which served the city for 73 years up until its closure in 1998. 

The exhibition presenting more than 200 exhibits and 21 art pieces from local artists runs until Nov 12.

The event showcases historical artifacts provided by Cathay Pacific and Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co Ltd, as well as private collections contributed by experienced aviators and collectors. 

Visitors can appreciate flight logbooks, rare photos, travel posters, flight maps, and old boarding passes at a close range.
