Chinese firms to employ new strategy amid globalization

Chinese enterprises must balance their roots with the need for market penetration in an era of globalization, scholars said at Asia’s largest academic biennial conference on Chinese management research.

Themed “Globalization in Flux: China and the World”, the 10th International Association for Chinese Management Research Conference held its opening ceremony on Thursday.

The conference provides a platform for scholars and experts from all over the world to discuss the impact of globalization on Chinese management and the impact of Chinese enterprises

The conference provides a platform for scholars and experts from all over the world to discuss the impact of globalization on Chinese management and the impact of Chinese enterprises.

In the keynote speech session, Chen Xiaoping from the University of Washington and Chiu Chi-yue from the Chinese University of Hong Kong shared their research on cross-cultural enterprises and Chinese enterprises in an era of globalization and the impact of generative artificial intelligence on the development of global professionals.

Coorganized by IACMR and Hong Kong Baptist University, the conference was first held in Beijing in 2004. Hong Kong hosted an IACMR conference for the first time in 2012.

The conference, which runs through Sunday, has attracted nearly 1,500 management research academics and management research scholars from leading universities.

It will host nearly 170 academic activities, including dissertation discussions, symposiums, roundtable discussions and professional development workshops.
