LONDON - The FA Cup returns to center stage with the fourth round this weekend, and one match that is likely to capture the attention once again will be the clash between Liverpool and Manchester United on Sunday.

The match is a repeat of the Premier League fixture that ended 0-0 at Anfield last Sunday after 90 minutes where Liverpool had most of the ball possession, but United had the better chances

The match is a repeat of the Premier League fixture that ended 0-0 at Anfield last Sunday where Liverpool had most of the ball possession, but United had the better chances.

Juergen Klopp's Liverpool have looked flat in recent weeks and that was highlighted on Thursday night when Burnley inflicted their first home defeat in the league since 2017.

The defeat meant that it might be the perfect moment for United to return and not only end Liverpool's Cup hopes, but also land a blow to their morale that will also hurt their chances of retaining the Premier League title.

The fourth round of the FA Cup kicked off on Friday night with non-league Chorley suffering a 1-0 defeat at home to Wolves.

On Saturday, the first match will see Southampton entertain Arsenal in what looks to be an evenly balanced game, followed by Sheffield United taking on mid-table League One side, Plymouth Argyle at home.

Pep Guardiola can be expected to rest a host of first team regulars when his side travels to play League Two promotion hopefuls, Cheltenham Town, on Saturday evening. Manchester City are expected to have nearly all of the possession against a rival likely to put faith in set pieces and long throws into the heart of the City penalty area.

Saturday also sees West Ham United taking on League One's Doncaster Rovers at home, while Blackpool, who ended West Brom's brief FA Cup adventure in last round, travel to the south coast to face another top flight struggler in Brighton.

Chelsea's midweek defeat away to Leicester City has heaped even more pressure on coach Frank Lampard and defeat away to Luton Town on Sunday lunchtime would possibly cost him his job.

Lampard could start Billy Gilmore in midfield in attempt to freshen things up, but with Luton in mid-table no man's land, Chelsea's rivals will field a strong side looking for an upset.

Leicester City face a trip to south-west London to take on Brentford in what promises to be a tough game against a rival that beat four Premier League rivals on their way to the Carabao Cup semifinals this season.

Last season saw Leicester win the last ever FA Cup game in Brentford's old Griffin Park Stadium and now they return for the first to be played in their new home.

Fulham and Burnley meet in a tie between two Premier League sides, although both are likely to rest first team regulars, before Everton will expect a comfortable win at home to Championship strugglers, Sheffield Wednesday.

Tottenham visit Wycombe Wanderers on Monday, while Crawley Town, who shocked Leeds United in the last round, visit Bournemouth on Tuesday.
