China's coast guard continues to patrol waters off Kinmen to ensure safety

The coast guard of East China's Fujian province conducted a regular law enforcement patrol near the waters off Kinmen on Monday, according to an announcement of the China Coast Guard.

Since the beginning of April, the Fujian coast guard has organized a fleet of warships to continuously strengthen such law enforcement patrol near Kinmen in order to further intensify the control of relevant waters and strongly protect the legitimate rights, interests and safety of Chinese fishermen, including those in the Taiwan region, the CCG announced on Monday evening.

The patrol is also to effectively safeguard the normal navigation and operation order in the Xiamen-Kinmen waters, the announcement added.
