About Us

The Campus Newspaper Award is a major event organized by China Daily Hong Kong Edition since 2012. Students from Hong Kong, mainland, Macau and Taiwan universities have been participating in the event, with journalism professors and media veterans acting as adjudicators. The contest is aimed at encouraging schools of journalism to establish student-run newspapers and upgrading the quality of campus newspapers.

Guest of honor

Noted philanthropist and businessman Mr Fong Yun-wah shared his writing skill and experience with the awarded participants, at the 2013 Campus Newspaper Award ceremony.

More Support
A dozen guests were invited to the 2013 Campus Newspaper Award ceremony, held by China Daily Asia, including professors of journalism schools, management of news organizations and sponsors.

Wider Participation
Participants of this year's Campus Newspaper Award held by China Daily Asia came from 12 universities, from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao and the Chinese mainland, who vied for 16 news awards.
