The Hong Kong Pulse 3D Light Show is back. Beamed across the giant concave wall of Hong Kong Cultural Centre and Clock Tower in Tsim Sha Tsui, the stunning audiovisual effects add great vitality to the city's night life throughout the month of August.
The show comes with a DJ performance that combines live music with a spectacular laser show - a bonus for the thousands of tourists and citizens who are drawn to the spot to enjoy the panoramic view of the iconic buildings along the Victoria Harbour. It's highly interactive. Viewers enjoying the capers of the DJ on stage could even change the colors of the fluorescent tube lights attached to his dress and head gear with the help of a touch screen.
Introduced by Hong Kong Tourism Board three years ago, the show takes place during August and December - to go with the prevailing spirit of holiday during those months. While spreading the good vibes all around is the primary goal, the laser show also takes the audience through certain elements that are archetypal Hong Kong. From the Star Ferry to the futuristic HSBC building, which then morphs into the image of a giant robot inspired by The Transformers , the show runs through some of Hong Kong's best-loved emblems in eight minutes.
