The Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem in conjunction with Verbum Domini presents the exhibition "the Book of Books" on the Bible, the first of its kind in Israel, from October 2013 to February 2014. The exhibition is divided in four chronological sections with more than 200 books, going from the Dead Sea scrolls to Egypt, the Middle Ages, to the printed bibles and holy texts, tracing the roots of Judaism and Christianity through the ages. Most of the manuscripts and books on the exhibition are part of the Steve Green biblical collection. Some of the rare manuscripts and books include the Septuagint, the earliest New Testament Scriptures, texts from the Cairo Geniza Torah, as well as Middle Age manuscripts and one of the Guttenberg bibles, the first-ever printed holy book in history. After Israel, the exhibition will continue to the Vatican in Rome, Havana in Cuba and will conclude in Washington DC in the U.S. where these biblical documents will find their final home at a new Bible museum in the city.
