The State Council, China’s Cabinet, announced on Tuesday the appointment and the removal of several senior government officials.
Song Zhe and Huang Liuquan were appointed deputy director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office (HKMAO), while Zhou Bo was removed from the post.
Song is currently the commissioner at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong, while Huang is the director-general of the HKMAO's legal department.
Wang Guangya will remain the director of the office.
