HONG KONG - At least five soccer players from the Hong Kong Premier League were arrested by the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) on Wednesday in connection with alleged match-fixing.

According to a source, at least one Hong Kong team member is involved.

The case was linked to a game on Sept 30, several more recent games and some last season, according to the source.

The ICAC refused to comment in accordance with relevant regulations.

This is not the first time match-fixing has occurred in Hong Kong. In 2014, seven coaching staff and players from Happy Valley were arrested by the ICAC for allegations with match-fixing.

Soon after the arrests, the Hong Kong Football Association announced that Happy Valley will be suspended from all First Division League and FA Cup fixtures for the rest of the 2013-14 season.
