HONG KONG - A sixth Hong Kong victim of the Formosa Fun Coast explosion has been identified, the Immigration Department confirmed Tuesday.

Taiwanese authorities notified the Hong Kong Economic, Trade and Cultural Office that a Hong Kong resident who had moved to the island had been admitted to hospital for treatment.

Two of the injured people have already returned to Hong Kong, with one moving on to Shanghai for treatment.

Immigration officers are in contact with the remaining three Hong Kong residents and their families and are sorting out arrangements.

Meanwhile, the licensing of two events later in Hong Kong in which colored powder could be used is still pending in light of the substance’s role in triggering a fireball which engulfed hundreds of party goers during a concert at the Formosa Fun Coast park in Taiwan.
