Chinese wheelchair tennis player Ji Zhenxu: Striving for glory

Chinese wheelchair tennis player Ji Zhenxu, China’s first male athlete to qualify for a Grand Slam, will compete in the 5th Asian Para Games in Japan from Oct 18 to 24. In an interview with China Daily, Ji stressed his competitive spirit and desire for improvement. While he accepts defeat graciously, he’s frustrated by losing winnable matches due to errors. Ji aims to secure a spot in the world’s top 10 and then reach the top five. He believes in the adage, “the ball is round, and no one can predict the outcome until the match is over.”
