Shenzhen's annual bougainvillea (簕杜鹃) flower show opened over the weekend, dazzling visitors with their vibrant colors and dense clusters.

The event showcases a total of 320 varieties of bougainvillea, an evergreen plant native to South America, known for its use as a hedge or ground cover, according to reports from Shenzhen Special Zone Daily.

The flower show runs until November 17, with free entrance and no booking required.

Lianhuashan Park (莲花山公园)  

  • Accessible via Children’s Palace (少年宫) station on Shenzhen Metro Line 3 or 4 (Exit F1 or Exit E)
