HONG KONG – A computer glitch disrupted the dissemination and display of real-time flight information at the Hong Kong International Airport on Sunday.
Due to the glitch, real-time flight updates could not be displayed on the terminal’s display screens, the airport website and MyHKG mobile app, according to the Airport Authority Hong Kong.
It said overall operations at the airport were normal and that the Airport Emergency Centre has been activated while contingency measures were implemented for affected services and procedures.
Steven Yiu, AAHK executive director for airport operations, said a software glitch caused the problem and that they were trying to fix it as soon as possible, local media reported.
