HONG KONG - A delegation from the eight additional Chinese mainland cities eliglibe for individual visits to the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions was warmly welcomed in the HKSAR on Tuesday.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board had invited the first trade delegation, including tourism and media representatives, to the city to showcase the latest developments about the SAR's tourism products and to promote the city.

Eligible residents from the eight cities was able to apply for individual-visit endorsements to visit the two SARs starting May 27 without having to join tour groups. The eight cities are: Taiyuan in Shanxi province; Harbin in Heilongjiang; Lanzhou in Gansu; Xining in Qinghai; Yinchuan in Ningxia Hui autonomous region; Hohhot in Inner Mongolia; Lhasa in Xizang and Urumqi in Xinjiang.
