GENEVA - Casper Ruud of Norway won the ATP Geneva Open for the third time after he beat unseeded Tomas Machac of the Czech Republic 7-5, 6-3 on Saturday.

The world No. 7 maintained his morale in the second match of the day as he came back from 5-3 down to take four games in a row to win the first set.

On Saturday morning, Ruud defeated Italian Flavio Cobolli 1-6, 6-1, 7-6 (4) in the semifinal, which was postponed from Friday due to the rain.

Ruud carried on in the second set and left no more chance to his opponent, who upset Novak Djokovic in the semifinal on Friday.

"It wasn't an easy week," said Ruud. "All the matches were tough.  The weather didn't help either. Now I'm very happy, it's a fantastic feeling to have won here again."
